City National Card Alerts

Keep your City National Bank check card and credit cards safer with City National Card Alerts - a great feature for most City National Visa® personal and business card products!1
With City National Card Alerts you can receive timely updates on your City National credit card and check card activity.  You can choose to receive Card Alerts through text messages to your mobile device or by email.

With City National Card Alerts you are quickly notified of various transaction activities on your cards.  Should you be unfamiliar with a certain transaction, you can act quickly to help reduce potential or additional fraud on your account.

Alert Types

Here is a list of available Card Alert types:

  • Threshold Alert: An alert is sent if a transaction amount is greater than a preset dollar amount.
  • Decline Alert: An alert is sent when a bank, or Visa on behalf of a bank, declines a transaction for any reason.
  • Card Not Present Alert: An alert is sent if a transaction is made without having to physically present the card at the point of sale, such as when a transaction is made online or by telephone.
  • ATM Withdrawal Alert: An alert is sent if a transaction is made at an ATM.
  • International Alert: An alert is sent if a transaction is made outside of the United States.
  • Gas Station Alert: An alert is sent if a transaction is made at a gas station (e.g., fuel, car wash, convenience store, etc.)

How to Enroll

  • Go to cnb.com and create your profile by accessing "Card Alerts" under the "Sign In" tab.
  • Follow the instructions to create your Card Alerts account
