Laura Dodd Recognized on “Most Powerful Women in Banking: Next” List

Laura Dodd was one of 15 executives chosen for American Banker’s “Most Powerful Women in Banking: Next 2021.” Based in San Diego, Dodd is a key member of City National’s Aerospace & Defense team and now a part of the bank's new National Corporate Banking division.

Dodd and the Aerospace & Defense team’s focus has been on supporting clients while expanding their reach around the country. “It was really important to show that we were dedicated to the industry,” she said. Last year, she also became the team’s Paycheck Protection Program loan expert, guiding companies through the Small Business Administration’s application and forgiveness process.

Michael Walker, executive vice president and head of Commercial Banking at City National, nominated Dodd for the award. He said, “Laura has a passion for self-improvement, a relentless focus on the client and an emotional competency that supports a long and successful career as a banker.”
