The Community & History Behind the Whittier Branch

City National Bank’s new, full-service branch in Whittier hosted a community seminar for women entrepreneurs and small business owners in celebration of Women’s History Month. It featured remarks on the importance of supporting women in business, tips on managing small businesses and the importance of networking.

The branch honors the history of Whittier, which was once the assistant superintendent’s home of the Fred C. Nelles school. It is located in a neighborhood known as The Groves, an area that includes historic buildings integrated alongside more than 500 homes and retail spaces.
