Vibras Labs Helps Latin Artists Create Music
In Florida, where we do business as CN Bank, Rodrigo Nieto-Galvis is the vice president and team leader of our entertainment banking office in Miami. He invited Ivan Alarcon and Fabio Acosta, co-founders of Vibras Lab, to talk about their business management firm.
Vibras handles all the “non-creative” aspects of their clients' careers, from tax planning to royalties management to contracts. The firm represents some of the biggest Latin singers and music producers in the world.
But for many clients, working with a business manager was a new concept. Alarcon says Vibras Lab is the very first business manager for every artist on their roster. “It has been a teaching process,” he confesses. “A very hard teaching process.”
A business manager, a lawyer and the right bank are the building blocks to expanding an artist's career beyond Latin America to the United States and markets worldwide.
Oh, and one more thing: “You need good music, no?” says Acosta.
