What to Do After a Disaster
Ensure that City National has your updated contact information by calling your Relationship Manager or by logging into City National Online and clicking "Profile."
Contact your insurer as soon as possible. Be certain to have your policy information on hand. This will help your insurer assess your property as soon as possible.

City National is dedicated to supporting our community during this devastating time. In collaboration with our parent company, Royal Bank of Canada, we are donating $3 million to support wildfire relief and recovery efforts in Southern California.
We believe our bank has a role to play in building stronger communities. From food insecurity to housing, our
$3 million contribution will provide essential resources to families who have been impacted.
If a disaster has damaged or destroyed your property, you should contact your insurance agent or company directly and notify them.
City National is unable to file a property home insurance claim or notify your agent or carrier of property damage or loss. Please contact your insurance agent or insurer to report your loss.

City National is offering mortgage and home equity line of credit deferral assistance for up to 90 days to certain eligible clients as determined by City National. In the contact form below, please send us a message or reach out to your Relationship Manager for program guidelines.
Until the deferral is granted, clients should continue to make their mortgage and/or home equity payments by the due date to maintain their account in good standing. All other terms and conditions of your mortgage and home equity lines remain unchanged. Additional eligibility requirements may apply.

City National is providing support to clients whose account mailing home or business address is, or was, located within the Cal Fire evacuation zones (mandatory or warning). We are waiving certain ATM fees from the date of impact through April 15, 2025: 3
- For impacted clients who would normally incur a fee at a non-City National ATM.
- For non-clients who use a City National ATM in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and Riverside counties.
- Eligibility for ATM fee waivers and reimbursements may depend on the account titling and addresses reflected on our records as well as the date of the transaction.
We are reimbursing overdraft fees incurred by clients whose account mailing home or business address is, or was, located within the Cal Fire evacuation zones (mandatory or warning) from the date of impact through April 15, 2025.3,4
Eligibility for overdraft fee waivers may depend on the account titling and address reflected in our records as well as the date of the transaction.
Predicting a closed branch’s reopening can be difficult. Please visit our locations page for the most up-to-date information about branch closures and reopenings.

City National is listed on your homeowners insurance policy and on insurance claim checks because we have a financial interest in the property.
For City National clients who have a mortgage and/or home equity line of credit on a property located in the direct impact zone, we are waiving late fees on their mortgage and home equity line of credit payments related to that property from Jan. 15, 2025 through April 15, 2025.
The above waiver only relates to late fee payments. Clients still need to make their mortgage and home equity payments by the due date to maintain their account in good standing. All other terms and conditions of their mortgage and home equity lines remain unchanged.

2. Deposits are subject to verification and may not be available for immediate withdrawal. Deposit limits and account eligibility apply.
3. Please note, impacted clients may see fees listed in their account history. However, City National will reimburse eligible fees, and reimbursements will be reflected in account statements.
4. All other terms and conditions regarding overdrafts as set forth in your Account Agreement and Disclosures and applicable Fee Schedule still apply.
